violetsA Brief Bioviolets

Dancing Girl..I love porcelain dolls and doll making and that comes as no surprise to those who know me. I particularly love the antiques, and although I don't currently own any, I hope to some day. In the meantime, I enjoy making reproductions.

My name is Laurel and I started making dolls 1n 1988 in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. During that time I've had the privilege of participating in several seminars conducted by wonderful instructors as well as being able to teach others this wonderful art of doll making. I enjoy the excitement of competition and I have taken home several first and second place ribbons from shows in Vancouver and California and most recently, a first place ribbon from the Seeley's Show in Oneonta, NY. as well as second place ribbons in Orlando, Fl.  Equally exciting is having my students receive ribbons, including "Best of Show" for novice and beginner class.

This site is very graphic intensive since it's purpose is to show you my dolls. I hope you enjoy visiting as much as I've enjoyed putting it together. With any luck, you might learn a little something while you are here.
