THE SEWING ROOM and WORKSHOP

antique sewing machine I enjoy sewing a great deal and to me, it's an important part of the doll making process. Handsewing has become something of a lost art and even though I grew up in a sewing family, my skills were definitely put to the test when I began making dolls.

antique scissors Making reproduction dolls brought a whole new area of sewing...the area of research. I like to try to dress my reproductions in as authentic a manner as possible which means matching the era of the doll with the correct style of clothing, and with the proper fabrics, trims, and accessories.
